Well, a power driver bonus is a reward that Lyft gives their drivers for giving so many rides and so many of them are peak hour rides. And, peak hour rides would be generally rush hour and then also the late nights on the weekends.
It can be lucrative for some and others it might not be very lucrative because they can’t drive those hours. I am able to go ahead and a benefit from the peak hour or rather the driver bonus because I do drive the peak hours.
So, I drive 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and then 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. I mean, it’s up to me, of course. I make my own hours but it works out. So, I get rewarded for doing so many rides and then so many of them peak hour rights and they’re always changing the bonus depending on your area.
Sometimes it’s percentage, other times it’s [a] flat amount. I think that you have to do your research and see if you’re able to go ahead and drive those hours.
And, remember that those are the hours that people need rides. So, the benefit is that during those times you’re generally going to be busier.
