At the heart of this whole course is this one video. If you skip this video, you’re going to miss out on everything. And no matter what you implement, it’s not gonna work.
What is it? What is this secret? The secret to six-star service is this, the golden rule. Maybe you heard it before, said by Jesus of Nazareth about 2,000 years ago.
And you can just say basically like this, “Treat others the way you want to be treated.” And for our purposes, with rideshare, treat your passengers the way you would want to be treated.
So, would you be thirsty on a hot day? Then, have water bottles. Would you want candy late night? Then, have candy. Would you like chocolates? Have chocolate.
Would you like an umbrella? Have an umbrella. And would you like someone to escort you when it’s raining, pouring down? Then do that.
If you’re a business person, would you like a newspaper in the morning? Then get that. Would you like a safe driver? Then be a safe driver.
Would you like a nice driver? Then be a nice driver. On and on and on, there are multiple applications. What would you want as a passenger? And so that’s why one of the great tips to learn is a passenger yourself.
Regularly, and you can tax deduct this, take Uber and Lyft rides and see what drivers are doing. What do you like? What do you not like?
Do you want a smelly car? No? Then don’t have a smelly car. It’s simple as that. Now, if you follow this, you will be a really good driver, but if you want to be an elite driver, the best of the best, you want to take one step further.
And that’s don’t just treat them you want to be treated, treat them the way they would want to be treated. Now that’s profound, that’s different. You got to hear that. Treat them the way they would want to be treated, right?
Maybe you like a talkative driver and so you’re like, “Well, treat them the way I want to be treated. Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah.” Maybe they hate that. Don’t treat them that way.
So, you have to quickly be able to discern, and this going to be hard, it takes time. Discern where are they, what would they want? Maybe they want a talkative driver or maybe they want a silent driver and you have to be able to read that.
So, if you want to be a good driver, treat them the way that you would want to be treated, get the goodies you would want, and so forth. But if you want to be an elite driver, a six-star driver, then treat them the way they would want to be treated and that takes time.
