Gopuff does not accept cash payments. However, while you cannot pay for your order in cash, Gopuff allows you to tip your delivery driver in cash.

However, they do include an option that allows access to your checking account without incurring a credit card charge. This is a great alternative for those who don’t want to deal with credit cards.

Gopuff accepts four alternative payment methods: credit or debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Venmo.

Why Doesn’t Gopuff Take Cash?

Gopuff stopped accepting cash payments early in the Covid-19 pandemic to limit physical contact between drivers, customers, and employees.

As of this writing, Gopuff has not resumed cash payments and has not indicated if it will do so in the future. While cash tips for drivers are still accepted, customers are advised to have an alternative payment method available.

The move towards electronic payments facilitates contactless delivery, enhancing convenience and safety by reducing the need for direct interaction with delivery drivers.

How to Add a Payment Method to Gopuff

To add a payment method to your Gopuff account, follow these steps:

• Login: Access your Gopuff account either through the desktop site or the app.
• Access Account Information: Click the menu icon and select “Pay With” to add a new credit or debit card.
• Enter Payment Details: Provide the required card information and click “Use This To Pay” to save it.

Alternatively, for multiple payment methods:

• Download/App Login: If not already done, download the Gopuff app and log in or create a new account.
• Menu Navigation: Tap the three lines at the top of the screen to open the menu.
