As Uber expands into more cities across the globe, so do their lucrative driver sign-up bonuses.
There are many ways for drivers to increase their income down the road (no pun intended), but these bonuses are the best way to make some extra money from day one, before they even pick up a ride.
If you’re looking to claim a new driver promotion, use the Uber invite code below. It’s verified, 100% working, and unlocks the earnings guarantee bonus, if your city is eligible.
**Please note that if this code isn’t entered at the time of application, you won’t be eligible for the bonus.
- Sign up using the link below and the referral bonuses will be applied automatically
- To manually apply the code, paste “PRGEY” in the “Invite Code” section when signing up
- Make sure to apply the code before you proceed
- Finish the signup process
- *Please note – Bonus varies by city, and is subject to Uber’s official referral terms.
In our research, we’ve found that many websites and forums are making false bonus claims about their referral codes. Before you rush out and claim the first promotion you see, take a look at our Uber referral code and the terms associated with it. We promise not to make lofty claims and to be as transparent as possible about these promotions.

Using and Applying an Uber Invite Code
When you use the code on our page, you’re eligible to receive a new driver sign-on bonus when you reach the minimum required number of Uber rides in your city.
To receive a bonus and start working as your own boss, sign up with an Uber driver promo code during times of high driver demand and low supply. Uber typically offers higher bonuses when they’re trying to quickly get new drivers on the road.
My link currently gives drivers in Omaha a guaranteed earnings amount of $525 for the first 100 trips taken in the city within 90 days of signup. These bonus amounts and minimum ride quotas vary by city, but no matter what is being offered, it’ll be worth your time.
The best promotions typically run in bigger cities where passenger demand is really high, like New York, Boston, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Chicago. It’s definitely worth claiming a bonus no matter which city you’re in.
Here’s a video summary we put together to explain how these promotions work:
Applying Your Uber Invite Code
For new drivers to be eligible to claim one of the big bonuses everybody is talking about, they must enter an Uber invite code during the initial application process. This is the code we provided above which will unlock a guaranteed amount of money on your first trips.
There are two ways you can apply an Uber referral code:
- Apply through a referral link, then create an account
- Create a driver account, then manually add the code
We’ll walk you through both methods step-by-step below.
1. Apply through Ridester’s referral link
The easiest way to ensure your Uber invite code is applied is to click the referral link. Once clicked, the code will automatically apply to your Uber account and you’ll be eligible for the driver guarantee.
The landing page will display the guarantee amount and terms and conditions associated with the promotion for your city. This includes how many trips you need to give and the time frame you must complete them in order to unlock your bonus.
Proceed by creating an account, entering the rest of the information, and completing the registration process.
2. Manually Applying the Code
If you’re in the middle of the sign-up process and are looking for the code, you can still continue without having to click the link above.
The screenshot below is taken from Uber’s driver signup page for someone who has not yet clicked a sign-up link. You’ll notice a box at the bottom where they ask you for an Invite Code.
If you leave that blank, you won’t get a guarantee. Simply enter your code of choice — in this case, “PRGEY” — to claim your new driver bonus.
Although the invite code box is labeled “optional,” if you don’t insert it before moving on to the next steps, you’ll have to retroactively claim a bonus. This takes time and is a fairly frustrating process. We highly suggest taking the time to ensure you’ve properly completed this step before moving on.
Once the code is entered, click “Next” and eligible drivers will see the bonus applied.
Keep in mind…
Here are a few things to keep in mind when applying a referral bonus:
- New Uber partners must enter an Uber driver promo code at the time of application. Failure to enter an Uber invite code will mean no bonus is earned.
- The Uber sign-up bonus isn’t retroactive, but if you forget to enter the code or have a technical issue at the time of the application, you may be eligible for retroactive referral for up to 15 days.
- Bonus terms are subject to change and aren’t guaranteed. Your Uber driver promo code and guarantee promotion will depend on which city you drive in. Please check the signup page or with your local Uber team if you have questions about this amount.
- Uber sign-up bonuses are now shifted to guarantees. If somebody tells you otherwise, look elsewhere for updated information.
More bonus terms:
- Uber can deny a driver application for any reason
- Only one Uber invite code can be used at sign-up
- Existing drivers aren’t eligible for the new Uber driver sign-up bonus
- Each ride will count toward the ride quota only if it’s a different passenger each time
- Drivers must meet the requirements and pass a background check to be approved to drive
How to Increase Earnings With Your Uber Driver Invite Code
Once you claim your guarantee for new drivers, don’t stop there. You can actually earn cash for referring new drivers to the platform through Uber’s refer-a-friend program.
As an approved driver, you’ll receive an Uber referral code that will allow you to earn money by referring other drivers and riders.
If a new rider that you’ve referred signs up through your link or uses the code you’ve shared with them, you receive a cash bonus, and the new user gets free ride credit good towards their first rides. You can’t beat a discounted Uber ride.
If a new driver signs up using your Uber invite code, you’ll receive cash as a driver referral reward once they complete the requirements for the guarantee. The payout amount you’ll be eligible for varies by city. We can assure you that it’s entirely worth taking advantage of.
How It Works
There are three steps to Uber’s refer-a-friend program: inviting, tracking, and earning.
First, you need to refer your friend to either ride or drive with Uber. The easiest way to do this is by sending an invite from the Uber driver app or through the Partner Dashboard.
Alternatively, you can also share your referral code to be manually inputted into the app. Either way, it doesn’t matter if a friend signs up through the link or the code, you’ll still get credit.
Once the code is shared, you can track progress within the Partner Dashboard. Usually, this is done through the “invites” tab in the menu. You’ll be able to track progress, send reminders to drive, and much more.
The fun part comes after steps one and two. Once the referred driver completes the trip requirements for the bonus you’ve invited them to claim or a rider has taken a ride, you’ll get paid!
Getting your code out to the public is the hard part, so we’ve come up with some creative ideas for you:
Print Business Cards
Smart drivers will leverage the captive audience in their car and print business cards to hand out to riders. Vistaprint and other online printers constantly run specials through which you can get hundreds of trial business cards for free.
Many drivers go this route. Leave the cards at bars, give them to friends, or hand them out on your college campus. If anyone signs up for the app using your Uber promo code, you get paid!
Post Your Code Online
You can post your code on social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. You can’t “spam” your code on Reddit or Imgur, and you also can’t pay to advertise your code via Google Ads or Facebook Ads.
Your Uber driver promo code must be posted in a way that looks natural and in which you’re only reaching your own social circle. But really, keep it classy. Spam sucks.
Use an Online Blog
By far the most ambitious method to get paid — post your Uber driver referral code on your own blog. Again, you can’t pay for advertisements to promote your code, but if you already have a strong following you might as well capitalize on it.
Now that this code business is out of the way, let’s cover the basics of driving.
Becoming an Uber Driver
There are many reasons why people sign up to drive with Uber. One top choice is the flexibility Uber offers.
Most drivers are part-time and use Uber to quickly earn extra income. This can be a lucrative little side gig for parents, students, or a 9-to-5 worker who just wants a little more income.
Uber only requires you to work at least once every 30 days, but other than that you can drive as much or as little as you want. If you’re a new driver thinking about joining Uber, don’t forget to use our exclusive Uber new driver bonus code during sign-up to claim an easy cash bonus. You can find that at the top of the page.

Smartphone Requirements for Uber
In addition to these basic requirements, you’ll also need a smartphone with a data plan. The average driver uses between 2 and 3 gigabytes of data per month, but if you plan on driving regularly, please consult your wireless provider to tailor your data plan to your specific needs.

- Android: 2013 or newer device that runs version 4.4 or higher

Pick Your Service Level: Drive on Multiple Platforms
UberX is by far the most popular Uber service requested by riders. Drivers are paid between 25-40 cents per mile depending on the city. This Uber type uses basic cars such as Honda Accords, Toyota Corollas, and Chevy Impalas.
Since UberX has the most demand across all rideshare services, you can be rest assured that you’ll stay busy. The high amount of available ride requests will help you meet your trip requirements for the sign-up bonus in no time.
UberBLACK is geared towards business travelers and those seeking a high-end ride. As a direct competitor to high-end car service companies, drivers must use black luxury cars such as an Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, or a BMW 335i. Black, of course, is the only car color allowed for this Uber type.
While you can use your Uber driver promo code for this service, you’ll likely want to drive for more than one service type to receive the bonus faster.
UberSUVs are for large groups of up to six passengers. With this type comes a Sport Utility Vehicle, like an Audi A6, BMW 5 series, or Mercedes Benz E-Class. Large groups find this platform attractive because they can split the ride fare and arrive at the destination at the same time. These are typically two times more expensive than the base fare of an UberX.
UberLUX is more of a novelty because few drivers can afford the cars required to drive on this platform. A few examples are a Maserati or Bentley.
UberXL is similar to UberSUV except minivans and crossovers are also allowed. Many UberXL drivers are parents who are trying to save up for a vacation or family “fun money.”
UberPLUS, also known as UberSELECT in some cities, is like UberBLACK in that it’s geared towards those seeking a luxury ride without paying an arm and a leg for car service. All the same requirements apply, but cars must be black, grey, or silver.
Below are a few average base rates for multiple Uber platforms:
Now that we’ve gone through the basics and showed you how to sign up using an Uber invite code, let’s walk through the another important point you should know before getting on the road — Uber driver pay.
Uber Driver Pay
Uber drivers get paid based strictly on their hours worked and what time of day they drive. While Uber offers great incentives, like the Uber driver sign-up bonus, drivers should also take into account how much they can make per hour.
We talk to different drivers every day and we have found that those who drive in the evening and on the weekends can make up to $35 an hour. If the driver works during surge hours, earnings can go even higher. We talked to one driver that made over $150 in one night giving a 10-minute ride on New Year’s Eve.
The best time to drive is between 5:00-7:00 p.m. during the weekdays and then between 7:00-10:00 p.m. and 1:00-3:00 a.m. on weekends.
During popular holidays such as New Year’s Eve and St. Patrick’s Day, the base fare can increase up to 10x during a surge.
The base fare for passengers is $1 for most cities and then between 40 cents and $1.25 per additional mile (again depending on the city). Most minimum fares are $4 and if a rider doesn’t show up they’ll be charged a cancellation fee of $5.
Uber Driver Pay Periods
The Uber pay period runs from Monday at 4:00 a.m. to the following Monday till 3:59 a.m. All drivers will receive an email with the link to their pay statement on Monday. Pay statements are calculated based on weekly driving activity and payment is made via direct deposit every Thursday. Each pay statement accounts for both earnings received from an Uber driver promo code, Uber driver referral codes, and driving history.
Surge happens when there are way more ride requests than Uber cars on the road. By increasing the fare prices, Uber ensures that more drivers get on the road to meet the high ride demands.
Inside your driver app, you should be able to see these surge areas color coded with shades from light orange to dark red. Shades of orange represent smaller multipliers while dark red represents the hottest zones with the biggest multiplier. You can zoom into any of the colored areas to see the surge multiplier that would be applied to the standard base rate if you were to drive in that area.
The multiplier changes based on real-time demand, but it’s guaranteed that you’ll definitely make more money driving in surge areas than otherwise.
Surge pricing has caused the base fare to increase by two, three, or even 10 times the normal rate. Smart drivers can capitalize on this by planning their driving schedule around known peak demand times.
Uber Driver Safety
If you read the news frequently it may seem like there’s always a different story concerning Uber. Consider that with over 160,000 current Uber drivers worldwide, the company will never be immune from incidents. Also, Uber is a new technology so any small story will likely make the news.
Uber is one of the safest transportation platforms due to the strict checks that the cars and drivers undergo. As a driver, you’ll know exactly who you’re picking up because every rider must input their name, email address, and phone number along with a valid payment method. This ensures any damage done to the car will be paid for.
Uber Insurance Policy
Uber’s insurance policy is meant to provide additional coverage to drivers against both driver and third party damage. This policy becomes active once the driver mode is turned on and doesn’t cost the driver anything extra. There are three parts to a ride and we have broken down the insurance coverage afforded to each.
Not active — When you’re not in driver mode your personal auto policy provides insurance coverage.
Driver mode activated — After activating driver mode but before accepting a trip, Uber’s policy covers you for $50,000 for driver liability of bodily injury per person, $100,000 per covered accident, and $25,000 property damage.
During ride — When giving a ride you’re covered for $1,000,000 third-party liability and $1,000,000 under or uninsured liability after a $1,000 deductible.
Commercial Auto Liability — Covers rider bodily injury and damage to passengers and third parties.
Contingent Comprehensive and Collision — Coverage extended to you in addition to your auto policy.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist — Damage caused by underinsured or uninsured motorists to you or your riders.
Contingent Liability — Provides coverage for a driver’s liability to passengers or third parties for bodily injury and/or property damage.

By partnering with insurance companies, wireless providers, and licensed mechanics, Momentum brings significant cost savings to Uber drivers.

Uber Driver Promotion: Quest and Boost
These two promotions are designed to encourage drivers to give more rides. With Quest, you get an extra cash bonus once you complete a specific number of rides within a specific time period. For example, the app may ask you to complete 10 rides within this weekend to earn an extra $50.
With Boost, you can earn more if you drive during busy hours of the day. If you give a ride in a 2x boost zone, then the base ride fare you make will double, from say $10 to $20. This is different than surge pricing. If the surge multiplier in that area is higher, then you’ll make the surge amount.
These promotions are sent to you in weekly emails and through text alerts, but you can also check for these from within the Promotions tab inside the app.
