Shipt does not offer or accept grocery store gift cards, nor do they provide variable-amount gift cards to use via the app.
What Shipt does sell, though, are $49 and $99 gift cards redeemable for 6 or 12-month memberships.

How Do Shipt Gift Cards Work?

Shipt accepts all payment credit and debit cards, including Visa debit gift cards.
They do not accept reloadable gift cards.

For each membership gifted, the customer received a $20 grocery credit to use for any purchase at any Shipt-partnered retailer.

Can Target Gift Cards Be Used with Shipt?
Shipt does not accept Target RedCard or a reloadable Target gift card at checkout despite having Target as their parent company.
This is because Shipt uses a different payment system than Target, so it doesn’t recognize your RedCard as a valid tender.
You also can’t use gift card promotions or Target Circle offers unless you order same-day delivery through the Target app.
Lucky, Shipt still has some excellent promotions and coupons you can access while you’re online shopping, including some that Target doesn’t offer.

They do accept your bank-issued debit card, Visa reloadable gift card, and payments through American Express or any other major credit card companies.
United States Department of Agriculture restrictions don’t allow customers to use their EBT card for services like Shipt and Instacart Express, but that might change soon.
Aldi is currently testing a pilot program to allow customers with SNAP benefits to have their household essentials delivered right to their front door.
Still, as of now, it only works with Instacart Express.
How to Check a Shipt Gift Card Balance
If you’re unsure how much Shipt credit you have available, there are two methods for checking your balance:
1. Acccount Page
Head over to your account page in the app.
Underneath your information, there is a spot that displays your credits.
OR
2. During Checkout
Add all your favorite groceries and Black Friday deals to your shopping cart, then go to the checkout page.
At the end of the process, the app will display the number of credits in your account as “Shipt Credit Applied.”
The credits subtract from your total.
You can also use your credits for Shop Only in local stores in certain metro areas, including:

With Shop Only, your Shipt shopper prepares your order for pickup at the location you choose and loads it into your vehicle.
Do Shipt Gift Cards Expire?
So, you found a long-forgotten Shipt gift card at the bottom of your purse or underneath the passenger seat of your car.

The funds don’t expire, so you can still cash in your card for grocery delivery from local retailers.
