1. Turo Phone Support

The easiest and fastest way to get help is probably through Turo’s phone support.

GetHuman, a company that compiles data about customer support, keeps track of Turo’s call waiting times.

According to them, based on customer reports, you’ll only wait from two to four minutes when you call for help.

Turo has different numbers available, depending on where you’re calling from.

These numbers are suitable for both customers and car owners.

Turo Customer Service Phone Numbers

  • United States: 415-965-4525
    • This is the general support number and the toll-free number for US callers that’s available 24/7. Callers outside the US may pay their carrier’s standard rates.
  • Canada: 888-391-0460
    • This number is toll-free in Canada and available 8 am–10 pm ET, but offers roadside assistance after hours.
  • UK: 44-808-164-1454

Phone support is the fastest way to reach a representative, so it’s often the best choice when you need help immediately.

Turo recommends that customers and hosts in the US and Canada try text chat for non-urgent issues first.

2. Turo Live Chat-Based Support

Turo’s second option for getting support is live text-based chat with a Turo customer service representative.

Click the purple dialogue box at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen for all chat options.

3. Turo Email Support

Turo’s contact information isn’t easy to find.

They prefer that you first try to find the answers to your questions through the knowledge base on their website.

Once you’ve exhausted that option, if you still need help, you can email through a form that appears.

Turo’s help page displays a dialogue box that lets you choose whether you have a question as a guest or a host.

Once you make a selection, type in your question.

Explain what you need help with as clearly as you can.

You might need information about a cancellation, insurance coverage, or additional fees.

Include your account details to make the process easier.

Answers the app believes are relevant will pop up.

If your questions aren’t answered, choose ‘No, Show Me More,’ and more information will appear.

If that doesn’t help you, boxes will appear for Chat or Email.

Click the ‘Email’ box and fill in the form they provide to send an email to Turo customer support.

4. Turo Host Support

For host support, click the “Help?” button at the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

Abox will pop up for you to enter your information and send it to the host support team.

Hosts who need to file a claim for physical damage to a vehicle can email Turo claims directly:

Responses to claims email can take up to two business days.

5. The Turo Help Center

If you have questions that aren’t urgent enough for you to call or chat live with a representative, try the Turo Help Center at support.turo.com.

Several categories you can choose from for help include topics like:

  • Information about liability insurance

  • How to contact Turo

Tips for Contacting Turo Customer Service

Whether you need help with a Turo promo code or figuring out where to pick up a car you’re renting, Turo support should be able to help you.

The best way to get your problem fixed is to be polite to the support person, whether it’s on the phone, through live chat, or in an email.

  • Always be polite, even if you’re angry.
  • Explain your problem thoroughly with as much detail as you can so the support person has all the relevant information.
  • Remember that there are some things customer support can’t do, like add a promo code to a trip you’ve already booked.
  • Accept the answers and solutions that the customer support personnel give you.

Common Reasons for Contacting Turo Customer Service

Resolving account issues is one of the more common reasons you might need to call or chat with a Turo representative.

Sometimes booking a trip, canceling, or applying trip discounts can seem confusing.

Customer service can help you with that, too.

For account issues and questions, live chat is probably the most efficient way to get help.

Since you’re on the computer trying to fix the problem, online chat is an incredibly convenient way to contact Turo.

General questions or issues that don’t need immediate attention can be sent by email.

Choose this option if your reasons for contacting them aren’t time-sensitive.

Phone support is best when you can’t use the Internet to chat to customer service.

Always call when the situation is urgent, such as reporting an accident or issues with a host.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why does Turo say I’m not eligible?

Turo requires drivers to have a valid driver’s license, a favorable auto insurance score, and proof of at least two years of driving experience if under 25.

Eligibility varies by region and may be affected by outstanding fees, incomplete account information, or other unresolved issues.

What happens if you crash a Turo car?

If you damage a Turo car, you should report the accident to local authorities and your insurance carrier right away as you would normally.

You also need to report the incident to Turo immediately. You may be responsible for some or all of the damages, so document everything thoroughly.

Can Turo be trusted?

Turo has been in business for 11 years. Their car-sharing service is in thousands of cities and hundreds of airports in metropolitan areas like Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. Customer reports at Consumer Affairs give Turo an average rating of four out of five stars.

What happens if you don’t pay Turo?

You pay for trip requests at the time you book them, so if you don’t pay, you won’t be able to rent one of their vehicles.
